Mark says then: Her blog is like the Gold 90.5FM ad.. “Only hear the good stuff”...
Well, and I’ve been thinking - Why not?
After all, we want to remember the good stuff! As for the so-called bad parts, we want to remember them, but we don’t need to remember the details.. The most important part to remember is what we learnt from the whole issue, how we grow to know each other better from it.
This reminds me of a short fable my friend sent to me recently... Do read through, and i hope that each and every one of us will learn something from it...
Two friends were traveling in the desert. At one point in their journey, they quarreled; one of them even gave the other a slap. The one who had been hit was very angry. Without a word, he wrote in the sand – “Today, my best friend slapped me.”
They continued on their journey.
Upon reaching an oasis, they decided to stop for a rest. The friend who had been hit fell into the deep water and would have drowned if his friend had not saved him. After he recovered, he took a small knife, and carved onto a rock – “Today, my best friend saved my life.”
The friend was very curious, and asked him, “Why was it that you wrote in the sand when I had hit you, and you are carving this message on a rock instead?
Smiling, the other party replied, “When hurt by a friend, the memory should be kept in an easily forgotten place – the wind will take care of erasing the hurt. Conversely, when helped by a friend, we should keep that knowledge deep in our heart, where neither wind nor time can erase it.”
Between friends, injury is usually not deliberate; but a helping hand comes from the heart. Forget those injury made in carelessness, and remember instead the help and care extended to you.

Zero energy to Full Batt...
Timeline:
12.30pm – start.. all 5 members
2.30pm – One leave for class
4.30pm – One leave, need to teach tuition (already very late for tuition)
7pm – One leave, meet partner
10pm – Clement and I finally surrendered and went home….. @_@
This is the first time in my entire educational life that I am doing projects like mad in the third week of school. What is going on~!!! Goodness….. This is almost 12 hours straight. Even doing BSC last sem wasn’t as crazy as this.. haha.. Like DX said – super brain-drained… I just hope our “second-guessing” and “synthesis” is good enough.
Thank heavens for a doting boyfriend... I am so thankful that he is willing to go down to that far-out corner of SG to pick me up. All I had energy for was to drag myself down to the meeting point, and I 'collapsed' le.. Much like a deflated balloon actually... haha..
After giving myself an hour to stone, I started working on the synopsis again, and finally, by 4am, I had something reasonable. After failing to get online to email it to my partner-in-crime, Sharyn, I decided to sleep and email it to her when I get to office the next day.
So the ‘bright and cheery’ morning started for me at 7am, all the way till 6pm earlier on. Gosh, I almost felt like zonking out. But you know, the amazing thing is that the minute I am with Mark, all that tiredness disappeared (ok, exaggerating, I know.. I still feel the tiredness, but it’s all held at bay).
This analogy came to my mind…
Messaging Mark: no-brand batteries
Having a satisfactory chat: branded batteries
Being together, right beside him: plugged into the a/c adaptor
Hee.. Really weird analogy, I know – but feels true la.. ^^
And just by the by – the crazy week will only be over 12pm next Tues… -_-" Eewww.....

18 August: Island Rover 2007!!!
At the car rally today, my duty for the night was to take care of the wine station. During the prep work in the afternoon, it was totally déjà vu kinda feeling – cos I had to polish the glasses. Very very long since I touched that many wine glasses, even longer since I’d been in charge of polishing them.. =O
I opened at least 20 bottles of wine tonight. Been soooo.. long since I opened wine le. Even when i was working in a restaurant also never opened so many bottles in one go before.. Haha.. Well, Mark is really expert at this, and I’d been watching him do it a couple of times recently. So, I followed a certain amount of his style la… Hee.. Truth be told, it feels good to holding a wine opener again. La la la…
Anyway, ran off at 8.15pm cos I’m rushing off to see the fireworks with my family. The journey there was horrible.. -_-" Took a cab till City Hall – ran down to Suntec city, straight pass marina square to Ritz, then cut across MS to the grandstand. Ran all the way, cos my ladies were rushing me like nobody's business.. Got to the grandstand at 9pm on the dot! But nearly died there cos we had to climb up 4(!!!) storeys to get to the seats.. Ugh.. Anyway~ Great fireworks - took lots of video, and many photos with the little gals.
15 August.. ^^
Went for dinner with Mark and his friend Elliot, at the food stall of another friend of theirs near Bali Lane, while Jacob joined us after a while. The pineapple rice is good~! Real fresh hewn pineapple, fresh prawns and loaded with raisins and crunchy cashew nuts.. Yummy!!! Want to go try it? It's a Muslim cafe around Kandahar St or Muscat St.. ^^
Received the lovely Royce chocs tonight… ^^

9th Aug 2007: National day celebration…
Slacked at home the whole afternoon watching the pro-Army (eh, patriotic okay~! Haha…) tv serial, “Bao Jia Wei Guo” which my mum recorded for me.. felt very blissful to have Mark over to accompany me for the last 2 hours of that.. hee.. But poor Dar had to wait for me… (Sorry, Dar!!)
Met up with Yin & Thomas after that in PS and just shopped around a bit before dinner.
At dinner at the BottleTree Village, Yin mentioned the topic of how it is deemed to be auspicious to have gotten married on 7th July 07 (just ask the 777 couples who got married); and subsequently, 8th Aug next year, in 09 – 9th Sep..
Mark: Good leh, next year will be 888.
Thomas: Isn’t that your birthday?
Mark: Yup!
Me: ha ha, so good la, won’t forget right…
Mark: *nods*
2 seconds later…
Me: Ay, this is not considered a proposal hor~ Not counted! You’re not getting off so easily..
hehehehe..
A little while later, on the way down to Dempsey, Mark suddenly said, “You know, I just remembered something. I think there is a regulation that couples with above $8000 in combined income cannot buy HDB flats eh.” So sweet!!! All I could tell him was that, “I have faith in your capability.” He actually told me he has faith in me too, that’s why he thought of this issue. Oh!! So happy.. I know this is so Singaporean, like how some people propose by saying “Let’s get a flat” – but this really tells me that he is thinking of a future with me, and he is really serious about this relationship.
Dar, I love you...
At Dempsey, his boss said that it is good that I’m with Mark. Now he don’t need to bug Mark about working hard – he is doing well. =D I’m very happy to hear that. He is a very self-motivated person already, and if I can bring luck to him just by being at his side, I am more than willing to do that… Very happy…. la la la...
Turned out it was the birthday of one of his colleague too, so, ended the night with a bang – birthday songs and lots of laughter! =D

Horoscope today....
When you're working on tasks for other people today, you can't be too meticulous! Whether you're just doing someone a favor or taking on a project that has the potential to change your entire career path, you have to be very careful and methodical in your efforts. Don't go halfway with this -- pull out all the stops, and show them that you are someone they can depend on to get things right the first time. You are poised to impress some very powerful people.
Not again - so true~!!! Argh~!!!
Die le lah....

Monday, 6 Aug - Transformers!!!
Watched Transformers for the second time, this time w Shuyin.. Oh man oh man! Optimus Prime is still the coolest thing around….
Lawrence told us about this part when O.P & Bonecrusher came tumbling down the expressway. Remember O.P punched Bonecrusher under the chest? That part, I’m sure most people saw it – But, but, but….. Did you see Bonecrusher’s eye pop out from that powerful punch? =D Betcha didn’t~!! haha… I saw it this time round.. It was so totally cool – Optimus Prime!!
Okok, anyway – we were on the way back after the movie, and the topic turned to giving the driver/rider directions, esp on where & when to turn. The conversation went roughly as below:
A: I have my own system. I ask my friends to tap the leg in the direction to turn.
(i.e. to turn right, tap the right leg..)
B: Har~!! Isn’t that like really obscene?!?!?!
A, C & D: *lost???*
Hee… A used to ride a sports bike and frens’ hands would usually be braced on the petrol tank. And apparently B is used to driving. So B, having a fertile imagination, imagined it as ‘frens’ reaching over and stroking his thigh!! Hahaha… Unbelievable – really the joke of the night… =D
Dead End...? Or just date's end? =P
So…… who is taking up the idea? =p hehehe…
Thursday, August 9
Happy things yesterday..... ^^
Lisa: But I’m angry!!
Marge: You’re a woman, you can hold on to it forever…
Hahahaha… I love this phrase…. =p
Hong Kong Café de "All Spark" cube!!! Hee….
It's been a lovely day today... I really enjoyed myself, Dar.. I hope you did too... *muacks*

Why I Love Him...
I have a quick temper (which I feel I muz say in self-defense, cools quickly too, haha). I confess to doing childish things when I am in a snit.
Thank you Dar – for not getting mad at me being so not-understanding; when I was being so ungrateful and childish; for tolerating my childishness.
You came down to fetch me from work to go to NTU, just to let me hand in my report, at the timing when traffic is most horrendous. The appointment after that is clear across the island, in the eastern end. Because of me, you had to rush and went without dinner, and met the client on an empty stomach. And what I did was to grumble when you did not reply my message during the appointment.
Darling, I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but I am glad to have you by my side.
So please be assured, it is not about the work. It is never about the work.. I made you a promise, so let’s work towards it together…
Met up w M2 after work at SAL. It was my first day back there as temp. And it was a great day, cos I think we were eating the whole day.. haha.. Went for lunch w Salina at 12pm, followed by a tea party at 3pm for a colleague who is leaving SAL.. 4pm, Rebecca & I had to prepare for the PAC event which is at 5pm.. Oh my goodness… SO rushed. Anyway, went for dinner w M2 @ Vivo, just a simple dinner at the food court & chat la..
Dar brought me to Villa Bali.. Hmmm,.. I think I have a new place to rave about.. haha.. Beautiful atmosphere, utterly out-of-singapore feeling… I love the old trees all around – it is so relaxing. *blissful...*
Then, of course - the company matters.. ^^
My dar had this really cute reaction...
After looking at it intensely for 3 seconds.. "IT'S ME!!" hahahahaha... (yes, he is born in the year of the Ram. ^^)
