Outing with my cousins to watch the Swan Lake put up by the Singapore Dance Theatre at the Esplanade, preceded by dinner at a subsidiary of 寒舍 (Humble House) - My Space.


Oh, dun think it is as 'humble' as the name says.. the stuff there is expensive!!! This is their desserts - one of which they are famous for - impressive presentation of huge bowl of ice with shooters of different items. And... dun see it's just one slice of melon - it is the ultra expensive Japanese rock melon. It;s so sweet that even i will eat it all right, and i hate melons.. =D The shooters of desserts are interesting, and really nice!


The ballet was good, just..thankfully i do know the story of the Swan Lake, otherwise i would be very very lost.. As it is, i am just lost.. hahaha...


I guess i am just not a great fan of ballet. Musicals now, count me in!! =D

Been really quiet these few days.

Mark's grandmother just passed on.

It is really a pity, just days from spending one more Christmas with the family. They have been worrying so much for her since her health deteriorated greatly a week back.

I don't know her well, but in these short months, she is always friendly. We may not be able to converse, as i don't know Cantonese, but she has always made me feel welcome.

I still remember just two months back, the family celebrated her 93rd birthday with her.

But i believe what they do - that she has gone on to a better place...

She started pawing around Mark's leg and stood up on her hind legs. The next thing i know - she jumped! Right onto my lap! OMG....

All ritey~! I’ve received feedback from more than 1 person that they dun understand wat’s the video about.. Uhm, I’ll try to give some background, as accurate as my knowledge goes, k! hee…. For those who are in the know – pls correct me if I’m wrong.. =)

Mark joined a forum for Honda Streams recently, and we’ve been taking part in a lot of the activities.. One thing car drivers like to do is to “convoy”.. Which essentially means a few cars gathering together (usually of the same model) at a location and going for a drive together (with or without a set destination in mind)… The cars usually stick real close to one another, and we try not to break the convoy. Otherwise, no impact le ma… heh heh..

This video was one of those rides where we arranged to convoy from hougang down to marina south.. That’s why I had the video going – not by accident.. hee… The part about capturing the Lexus trying to cut in was an accident actually - and they just happened to choose our car to cut in..

Well, a little apologetic la.. but then...... =p

The first time... -_-"

The first time i met a super-suspicious taxi uncle.. ^&%$^# piss me off to no end...

For various reasons, i had to get to Changi Airport at 4.30am this morning. So i took a cab at 4am. How he pissed me off.....

1. The taxi uncle told me, after i had gotten on, that he is actually going to knock off already, and was just going to wash his car before handing over. Several things flashed thru my mind... "1) why is your cab-light still green? 2) why did u stop? 3) why didn't u ask where i was going before i got on?" Never mind, i thought, and i actually offered to get off and get another cab... He ignore me and continue talking.

2. He was going on and on about how 'powerful' the eyes are, that once the eyes are tired, the rest of the body just can't continue, God is great, blah blah blah blah blah..... Look, it is 4am in the morning, no sane person will willingly get up and leave one's cosy bed - usually a person just wants to stone. Just be quiet!!!

3. He told me over and over that the route he took, (which took him to where i got on the cab) is how he will always drive to get to the car wash - which, by the way, can be reached by half a dozen other ways. Honestly, i don't care. And then he told bout this previous incident where this guy got on about where i was, and Also wanted to go to the airport, also near the time of his ending shift.

And then he asked me:"Who told you to take my cab ah?" I'm totally confused, and he asked again,"did someone tell u to wait there to take my cab?"
WTF!!! You think i so free ah!!! Wake up at 4 am to help some ass irritate a pighead! Bllody hell.. I told him, very nicely, that no - his cab just happened to be the first to come along. The rest were all taken.

4. He asked again. "No no, really, it's ok. I just want to know. Did someone tell you to do it." ^$#$%^&*()(*%$%^&^ Wah... i was so pissed by then. You make me feel damn uncomfortable about 'making' u drive all the way to the airport, make me feel guilty even though it is his own fault, unable to rest because of his non-stop nattering, driving slowly because of his 'eyes are tired' story and still dare to ask this kind of half-brained question!!! Argh!!!!!! So i told him off - "No. I need to get to the airport by 4.25am, my frens are there already and i am late!" *point to note: my frens had just called before that, and he should be able to understand simple English la, since he had been speaking to me in English all these while.*

Finally. silence and peace. Ggggrrrr........

No more Jack's Place!

Went for dinner w my pri sch fren yesterday @ Jack’s Place in AMK. Really appreciate the nice nice dinner – but after yesterday, I really think – Jack’s Place ought to be struck off the list of places I will go to. This was the first time I took so long to finish a steak, that it is cold by the time I reach a third of it. It was so difficult to eat!

1. The cut of the meat was all wrong. It ought to be so that when customers cut the meat, it is across the grain of the meat, not with it. So difficult to cut, so difficult to chew.
2. There were so many tendons throughout the steak, and everyone knows right, it is so difficult to cut through. Ugh.
3. Sirloin steak tends to have this area which is like a soft-bone of sorts, by the side right? The one I had yesterday – had it too – but really thick and around 50% of the perimeter. Cut till I want to die.

It’s really a waste lor, cos the food itself is great, the steak was really juicy and sweet. Such a pity that I can’t enjoy it properly, wasting so much time cutting it. The salad was good, very fresh & a generous serving of thousand island sauce. Uhm, I’m not eating the vegs on the main course though – the broccoli tastes horrible, all soggy & falling apart. They even managed to screw up corn. Ew.

The traditional service of putting the sour cream on the baked potato at the table was good still, and the service during the meal was okay. But I think because of the first impression I got when we got there – I still think the service sucks there. When we got there, it was only 9pm, and this staff saw us, but ignored us and went away to a corner. We stepped further into the restaurant and saw the same staff standing in that corner and doing nothing!!! ^#@#$$R$^&*(**#^**&%$ My fren had to say – “table for 2” before he came over. Bloody hell, so people go into a restaurant for fun de la, and just ‘see scenery’ is it. Idiot.

And his attitude sucks. He took the menu and simply wanted to walk away. I was staring at him lor, I really wanted to skin him alive already, and I think he saw my expression. He made this perfunctory motion of showing the direction to go. Ugh!! My face was darn black lor, and I made sure the manager saw it. So pissed. Give my fren face – ignore them.. *take a deep breath…*

Anyway, end of story. I am so not going back to Jack’s Place at AMK. No way.

hahaha…. Apparently the ‘immense’ vibration of the bike causes the bolts and nuts to unscrew after a couple hundred km… faintz.. Some part fell off in the dark? No fear, chrome reflects.. =p
