went to watch the fireworks tonight and it was so beautiful!!!

Met Jean, Kai, Clement and Jean's friend + daughter @ Raffles City... We walked over to Marina Sq.. Kai, the eternal charmer, got Theresa warmed up within the 5 mins we were in the ladies! haha... Amazing man...

Well, then we walked over to the Esplanade.. Got a nice place by the bay, far far from the other people, and had our picnic.. Jean baked potatoes, Pauline made maki, I bought cakes, Clem sponsored the Takoyaki & titbits, and Kai volunteered his services as cameraman and all-round entertainer for Theresa! Hee... I love that kid, she's totally cute! Kai put her on his back, later she will apply the same to Clem, and climb on top of him.. ^^

One of the best things i heard tonight...
Mum: wat do u say when people say you're short?
Her: I'm not short, i'm petite!

Later... Theresa is sitting on Kai's shoulders...
CLem: Pull kor kor's hair...
Kai: *sternly* i'll throw you into the water ah!
Theresa: I never pull...
Kai: Clement kor kor's hair is untidy, come, "wash" for him!
Theresa: Ok!

Held her during the fireworks, and it's absolutely heart-melting when a kid trusts you to protect her from all the big, noisy stuff, and enjoy the lovely show... I'd rather be doing the semi-crunches again than lift my hands from her ear....

I had a lovely lovely time tonight...

Met XY later at night for our date to watch The Lakehouse.. Sigh... Even watching it the second time doesn't take away the magic and beauty of the show... Love is magic, love is impractical... Love is supreme...
