My dar posted something recently about what his boss told him, of which, one phrase is especially meaningful.. “It is better to care for somebody than caring just for oneself.”

That little bit of time that you give to a friend in need, just listening to his or her problems & thoughts, when they need it, showing your concern for them, will never be wasted… A little bit of kindness goes a long way. And you will see that your little bits of time & care will be remembered, will be kept in their hearts… And one day – when one has need most, your kindness will be remembered.

First free Monday in a long long while.. Made a date to go queue for donuts with Jaime a long time ago on this day - finally both of us are so free on a Monday!! haha...

Came well prepared this time... Breakfast!!! haha... This one even scarier than me.. School work?? Really will do meh~? *dubious...*

Yay!!! Donuts galore~!!!!! =D

Had lunch with Jaime, Jean & Mark @ Soup Spoon after that. We had a lot of fun chatting!

Went with Jean after that to pick up her Raoul shirt from Paragon... Wow.. It's so beautiful.... When I graduate, I wanna get one power shirt too!

So glad to go out shopping with Jean today!!!

Went for this Chinese song & lyrics with mum at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Rather interesting, though some parts were not as good. But still, the turnout was pretty good.. =)

Also, the society that organised this actually invited this famous opera "Jing Ju" singer to give a guest performance. I tell you, it was really wow.. Her voice is really powerful, and her costumes are very beautiful. Detailed embroidery work on the gown; and her body language is really expressive - as people put it - the body language 'says it all'.

Went for supper with mum & Mark after the performance at Chomp Chomp, craving for the yummy yummy satay!! Anyway, my mum hasn't been there in ages.. Hee...

But one thing very irritating. I was terrorised by that bug the night before. And then at Chomp Chomp, i got terrorised by this stupid cockroach!!! Ugh!! I hate those things.. ='(

Last official day @ SAL. Arranged to have dinner with the gals.. We walked to Marina Sq, and we were cam-whoring the whole way!! ^^ (put up the photos later..) Decided on a simple dinner finally, cos we decided to wait for Salina to have the nice nice dinner together. =D Very happy day today!!!

Met up with Mark after that. Then, I was enjoying my cake at McCafe when this bug decided to join in the fun. Apparently it felt i was taking too long to have my cake.. =(

The stupid bug terrorised me!!! Sobz...

2nd last day officially at SAL, and I've arranged to go out for lunch with my seniors in my department. Main reason other than my 'leaving' is that it's my senior - Rebecca's birthday the next day. So we decided to celebrate it all together with a sumptuous meal at Sushi Tei.

The funniest thing was that this other senior was on half-day leave & decided to meet us at the restaurant. Then hor... she went to the wrong restaurant -> even better... wrong shopping centre... -_-"

Okay lor, we didn't know to laugh or to cry when we got to the restaurant and we couldn't find her when she said she is already in the restaurant. =p Anyway, she managed to make it over in time and lunch went on. =)

After lunch, we managed to get Rebecca to go back first with Kayee - and the 3 of us went to buy a cake for her. =) And it's great that Rebecca is such a nice person to everyone, cos we asked the Bistro staff to let us celebrate her birthday down at the Bistro. Hee.. All thanks to Kim Leng's idea! hee.. Then we don't even need to worry about getting serviettes to serve the cake! haha.. We had a silver tray to serve the cake on, a proper knife, and porcelain dishes.. haha...

About 4pm, I'd just msged Audrey how were we gonna get Rebecca down to Bistro without arousing her suspicions, when KL just asked Rebecca in a very matter-of-fact tone to go with her to the Bistro to the meeting. Hee.. Rebecca was totally confused and really tot that there was a meeting w the Bistro's Exec Chef. The minute they stepped out the door, we called KY, and rushed down to the Bistro. It was so hilarious - KY had gone into the back room where KL & Rebecca were seating, and Rebecca was like, "How come KY is here?" So KL actually told her that she was here to take notes fo the meeting!! hahaha... amazing...

Anyway, here enters Audrey, me & Eric w the cake on a silver platter.. =D The cake was really nice!! Chocolate - & it has those crunchy layers in between too.. (WIsh i could show you all the cake we bought for Rebecca, but too bad, we were too fast, and ate it all up before I even thought of taking a photo of it... Haha..)

Every one says this day will be great, and indeed, it was really a wonderful day... =D

Went to the Open House of the sch where my sister is teaching.. Check out the beautiful background.. Xiao Guilin is a beautiful place.. ..and so is my mummy!! hehe...

Some sudden possibilities caused some rapid changes, and lo behold, we were off to the NDP rehearsal (will put up photos later.. hee..) at Marina.. @_@ Nearly fainted from arranging all those things, and last minute screwups.. Poor dar, had to deal with all this on his first time meeting my family.. Well, my family is a little neurotic sometimes - hee... Better now than future! =p

The whole thing ended at 8.30pm and we were also supposed to meet his friends for dinner, but things didn't work out. Cos my 'clever' sis popped up with the suggestion to eat dinner at Oasis Taiwan Porridge. Argh!!! Dar, i must tell you, thank you very very much for changing the plans w the guys and being willing to bring my family there, plus running up and down to get the car. I was up to my limit w her..

Anyway, it was because my mum had never been to any NDP thingy before, and I really really wanted to be able to let her enjoy herself. In fact, she has also never been to Oasis, and it's already closing down soon, so we wanted to bring her there to eat also.. (Just didn't expect it to be now now kinda thing..) So, dar, thank you for putting up with all the changes and demands the whole day and night... You've been so understanding.. Luv you!! *hugz!!*

And after a good dinner, we dropped my mum & sis off; and went to meet his friends.. Oh, they are really fun, and funny too.. =D We watched them drink and drink, and sabo people.. Laughed like mad. He didn't drink much this time, i think they give chance, haha.. Dun play play wor, my dar open wine got style de lo.. haha... Anyway, we went home like super late, so tired.. *yawnz*

So, end of Saturday - gosh, my weekend's not over yet lo.. haha.. to be continued.. =p

had a very happy lunch yesterday! He came down to have lunch with me yesterday! Just because… ^^

Been out with him everyday - I find it so sweet that he finds time to meet me everyday, especially when I know his boss mentioned his concern that he might neglect his work. I have faith in him though. So far he's been doing a fairly good balancing job.. haha.. I'd better not get too used to that.. =p

Anyway... I'm a blissful gal!! ^^

it's amazing.. just a call, the knowledge that i can see him earlier later is making my blues fly away.. hahaha... *grin*

I am darn sian now. I just want to go home.

29th of June 2007, Friday - 4A gathering... ^^

First, a summation of the day - Great!!! "Never been better!"haha...

Well, this day has been full of ups and downs.. Minor ups and also busy periods at work; personal-wise, it's like a roller coaster.. Haha...

Started out with a minor Down when i remembered i have to meet this fren for dinner, and i have yet to get the tics for the movie we were supposed to catch. Settled easily with a msg, but i still have to meet him though.

The Ups started coming about lunch...

He has a client called Michelle too.. I didn't say anything, but then he immediately said i'm second to none...

He told me his colleagues had been asking him why has he been smiling so much recently. *blush!* I could only tell him, my colleagues are asking why i keep looking at my phone and smiling.. => (you know, that kind of 'sha xiao'.. =p )

Dinner time and i have to meet that friend of mine, and the jerk has the cheek to be late. Ugh! Brat. Never gonna go out w him again. (He will probably never dare to call again anyway.. hahahaha.. *evil grinz..*)

He said he will come and pick me up after my movie! ^^

Suffered thru dinner & conversation.. Ugh, i can't stand guys who act coy. YUCKS!!! Heck, if u don't like your name, then change it in court la.. -_-" Nvm, immature pple.. Movie was thankfully fine, i can concentrate on the show.. don't feel like talking to him at all le..

He told me he is on the way down already.. Just near the climax of the movie! Perfect timing!! Met him at the taxi stand, and off we went! Yay!! Then we went to have tau hway again, this time the selegie road one.. hehe..

Dinner @ Wine Network

This place is in Dempsey Road – and I have to say, this place is so beautiful!!! It’s like rustic European type of buildings.. Hmm.. or was it colonial? Oh whatever.. Main thing is, the place is beautiful, the wine is good, the food is delicious & the company is great! ^^

Not only that, we went for Ben & Jerry’s after that – awww… I love the strawberry cheesecake!!

Very very good day out.. hee.. *happy happy*

Dinner @ Sapporo Miharu Ramen, this cosy little ramen shop tucked in a corner of Gallery Hotel, with my ex-boss. Took a little walking to get to Gallery as usual, but I don’t mind, the weather was cool and balmy. After a satisfying meal, we went to the Coffee Club at Central for a coffee & mudpie. The view from there is really nice.. Liked it a lot – even better than the t.c.c. at Boat Quay.. haha… Great chat.. =D

July 1st!!!

Went K-box on Sunday w WW & Justin.. Had lots of fun, and took photos.. Hee.. Classic jokes of the day!
1) horror movie ‘the hills have eyes’ become – ‘The hills have no eyes’…
2) Which singer stammers? This question was so addictive, that someone started stammering too.. haha..

WW bought that pinky monster thingy, it’s really quite fun – stress ball cum lights.. haha.. Oh oh, still have all those rings we bought together, hee.. next time going to wear all together.. ^^

Went to watch Transformers tonight le! So happy.. It's a great show! and Optimus Prime is still so cool... Last minute decision la, but I'm very glad I decided to go for the movie with him and his friend. We went to the cinema at Balestier. Good gracious, the parking there is horrible.. In the end, we had to park by the side where a few other cars were also parked illegally. @_@ Uhm.. it's cashcard parking lo.. Wat a rip-off... Anyway, it was a great movie, and we decided to go for supper after that. Headed down to have tau huay at Geylang. =)

Fri, 29th June

Met up with my 4A pals for dinner today, and very very happy- cos my teacher came too - Haven't been able to organise a gathering with her since bout 4 yrs back.. =p *Success* haha... Anyway, no major hiccups, no major 'fires'.. hee..

Went to chill out w Yin after that at Boiler.. =D la la la... Went with the whole group of frens for supper @ this place near Botanic Gardens. Another day where i 'meet the dawn'... I really become vampire le...
