last b'day post for the year! haha..

Haven't been able to get around to blogging about my birthday for the longest time.. Or rather, get around to blogging at all, period.
So so, the next b'day celeb was with Kor & Lijun.
We went for dinner @ The Green Room. It's a really cool place. It serves vegetarian food, and it is situated in the middle of Bishan Park 1, within the cluster of restaurants there. It's like a mini mini Villa Bali over there. The atmosphere is great - no words for it! haha... Lucky i got my darling with me, otherwise, it'll be rather a waste of the romantic atmosphere.. ^^

My pressies from Lijun... Haha, she reallly loves to doll me up! hehe...
Orly top & bottom coat
mascara
liquid eyeliner
lip gloss

Oh! and i finally went for my b'day present treat from Yuan.. Hee..

can guess?

Yupz! it is Eyelash Extension!!
Been wanting to do this for some time, but it's really ex (to me la, ok..), about $50+.. The place we went said that if we go back and just wanna 'fill in' those that dropped, it's half price @ $25. Hmmm....

I guess i chose one which was too thick, it is nice - but way too obvious to look natural - i mean, my own eyelashes are one third the length, and definitely not that thick wor... haiz...

Anyway, i love the look - really Jap doll looking.. Wish i look like that all the time man.. haha.. But a pity it is troublesome, in that i can't rub my eyes. I always tot i dun really rub my eyes, it should be fine. BUT... it's a natural instinct when u're just waking up and still half asleep.. =P It's difficult when ur face is wet, and u wanna blink water out of your eyes... -_-" It's impossible, and i mean really impossible.. haha...

Took it all off after a week - really surrender..

Maybe i will do it again when my bestie gets married, but next time - i'm gonna do it at another place..

Thank you all for arranging this wonderful surprise for me, i had only expected a dinner, honest!

Thank you Kai, for thinking of me when this dinner was originally supposed to be in honor of you becoming an expat! =D All the best wishes to you!!
I had a wonderful time catching up with everyone! We really need to do this more often! haha...
Here's the cute cute card from Jean, my dear~! ^^

And the pressie from everyone this year.. Hee... So apt! For someone just starting out to work - clothes are never enough! Just like money is never enough too.... hehe.. =P Thank you people!!!

Pressie from Dar~ <3 <3

THUR: 2nd October 2008

Got my pressie from dar early!

I told him before i love Care Bears, and he decided to get me one... I'm really happy to finally have a Care Bear of my own, and such a pretty one at that!!

Haven't named him yet, but yes - it's a 'him'.. Definitely! =D

Luv his eyes, and his fur is so so soft! My sister says he's definitely the most envy-worthy Care Bear in the house now! haha...

A little resigned though, cos he's not gonna be able to sleep on my bed, cos if he does, over time he will get dusty & all.. Then my mummy will wash him, and that'll be the end of him! So, he's gotta live in his box and only come out for walks.. =p

Thank you darling!! I love you!!!

Pressie from my dear sis...

WED: 1st October 2008

My sister got me this lovely hair clip from Kokon Tozai, which means Past & Present and East & West in Japanese.

Each of their item is made with Kimono style, fabric or design, in trendy designs and wearable fashion. My sister's choice was a hair clip from the Kimono-Sealed Acrylic Collection.

If you zoom in, you can really see the fabric of the cloth sealed in it! As every part of the cloth is different, even the two sides of the hair clip has a different look.
Really like this! Hee.. Can tell rite, i'm into the Jap culture too.. haha..... So this hair clip is really cool to me! It's just so unique!
"These accessories have kimono fabric sealed within the finest quality of crystal acrylic. Collections include hair accessories, rings, bangles, earrings, cosmetic brushes etc. They crystallize the idea of sealing kimono fabric inside of the best quality crystal acrylic. Since the fabric used in the items are cut from various parts of the kimono, each item is different and unique. "

Birthday Celeb, - the Continuation~! ^^

WED: 1st October 2008
Next was a good yummy dinner @ Two Chefs in Commonwealth with the whole family

The food is good, and the price is reasonable - imagine, 7 of us went to eat, and the bill only came up to just over $100... =P

Went to my Sis's place to play Puerto Rico after dinner. We are all rather into this game at the moment. It is a really engaging game.. You not only need to have a good strategy, you need to be able to adjust accordingly to other players' actions.. =D

"The players are plantation owners in Puerto Rico in the days when ships had sails. Growing up to five different kind of crops: Corn, Indigo, Coffee, Sugar and Tobacco, they must try to run their business more efficiently than their close competitors; growing crops and storing them efficiently, developing San Juan with useful buildings, deploying their colonists to best effect, selling crops at the right time, and most importantly, shipping their goods back to Europe for maximum benefit. "( Boardgamegeek.com)

We had so much fun that we forgot the time and ended up only getting home at 11pm+... (wish the next day didn't need to work.. haaa...)

Had a lovely day with my family today.. Really... Thank you everyone!!

Birthday a-coming~! ^^

SAT: 27th September 2008

The birthday 'week' started off with The Cake - The Mille Crepes.

Classic Cakes in Clementi Arcade, started selling a wonderful cake called Mille Crepes last year - a stack of 20 crepes placed on top of one another, with a vanilla pastry cream holding them together and a caramelised topping.

But for those who want something more exciting, baker Charles Quek has come up
with three variations.

The Chocolate Mille Crepes has thin, floaty flakes of dark chocolate between the crepes. It is ethereal, light and to die for.

Order the Apple Mille Crepes if you don’t like your desserts too rich. The tart
apples add crunch - very refreshing.
Of course, there is a durian version, with pungent, creamy durian filling in
between the pancakes. Like the original, they all cut beautifully.

(Note: This review was extracted from ST Foodies Club)

Other reviews on Classic Cakes:

- their Blackforest Cake is famous too!
It cost us $60 for a 1.5kg cake, but between me & my sis, we figured 2 persons' b'day mah - can la can la.... haha...

It's really yummy -may be a little "jelat" for those who don't really fancy vanilla.. =P Smooth and solid at the same time.. Hee..

My family has become a supporter of Classic Cakes, with my brother-in-law loving the Black Forest Cake,

and we getting the Best Ever Chocolate Cake for my elder sis's b'day... =D

Sunday, September 28

I finally got my blades after a year of wishing!! hehe... Here is my new baby.. The ADRENO BLACK SERIES!! It's a freestyle skate that normally would have cost over $300 bucks - but we got lucky and spotted it on sale! hehe..
Got it at Inline Culture - the Katong outlet. Oh, the service there is sincere, the sales people have knowledge of their products, they are willing to teach and the range is decent, quite sizeable..
So much so much better than the first place we went to at 3rd floor of Queensway - some kuching kurak shop called Skaters World. The stttooooopid sales fella there sucks big time. Jean asked them, what is suitable for a beginner - and he was like "this, this and this.." SILENCE. "and this, and this." FULL STOP. That's it leh - that's all he said. Wahhhhh.. so pissed. Walked out of the shop immediately!
Anyway, the important stuff now.... ^^
Many thanks to Jean, Yunhua, KaiQuan and Clement for contributing to my roller blades fund! (Yupz, i just made it before the 1 year expiry date!!)
And to Jean once more for the additional portion as this year's pressie! But more importantly, for your time and effort going with me all over the place to find and test blades!!
You're the best friend i could ever have!! HUGZ!!!!
