Today's acc lec is another disaster!!

We went there with light hearts, expecting to see Prof Goh for the first time in person. Guess what.. It was that other lecturer again!!! Argh!!! *sink*.......

And then she was like, "dun so surprise ok.. Prof Goh is sick, blah blah blah blah blah..." despair!!!! I dunno why i just can't stand her - I think maybe we had arguments in our past life... *shrugs* Just can't stand her actions and all. I think she got a thinly veiled sneer on her face that is not very obvious, but anyway, the feeling's mutual!!!

Then suay suay next week got quiz, so she go through her list of do's and don'ts again - as if we are primary school kids.. Then, even better, i think really got Kindergarden kids here - when she say cannot use calculator for the online EXCEL quiz, actually got people groan leh~!!!! *OMG* Excel is like a super-calculator le, what do u want a calculator for?!?!?!?!? Make sense, i think not.....

In the lecture, she mentioned these few points are highlighted in red.. but the color was some kind of muddy yellow... A classmate said, if our acc tutor was here, she'll sure say the lecturer got color blind de... hahaha... Anyway, our acc lecturer and tutor both very weird la...

As EL say, we should put "5" for the evaluation for 'does instructor motivate you to learn more' part. - Cos, we can't help it, impossible to understand anything from them, so HAVE to self-study~!!! hehe....

Amazingly, HE didn't say too much weird things today.. Thank goodness too... Cos, he was sitting beside me today! If he say too much, i might just kick him.. =P haha... Somemore today, the presenting team is his fren, so dun want to put his friend on the spot i think...

Only thing was him being stubborn about credit card theft and liability of debts thus incurred.. kept going back the same Q, until prof ask him, what exactly is his question.. Haha..

Oh, i think i know why he dare to ask these weird weird Qs le.. It's his final year, no wonder he don't really bother.. =D hee.. K, till next week!~

I know this is very bad, but juz want to relate this story..

Went for class today, and today's group's presentation - is really 'comment-provoking' eh.. It was boring, but that's to be expected, everyone is bored during every presentation.. Then, each group is expected to ask the group at least 1 question after the presentation ma.. So for me, i chose to question on some weaknesses which they have not addressed to solve. Wah.. then this girl who answered.. -_-" cannot take it - totally missed the point lo.. never answer my Q at all. Give up. Don't want to argue w her - know my own temper..

The same thing happened for just about all the other Qs tt other people asked.. So sad case..

Like one classmate was saying too, "Very smoky ar, today.." Yea, super smoky environment. Just trying to smoke their way thru. (Ugh~! I must not let this happen at our case~!!)

Then the presenting group has one guy, and he's like "wallgrass" (u know, like "wallflower" at parties?) - just stand at the back of the group & stone.. Sigh.. 真的没有立足之地。。。 hahaha...

I was doing some research for my TVC assignment, when this caught my attention... "Bridge to Terabithia" It's the title of one of the Literature texts used when I was still in secondary 2. The reason that I still remember this so strongly is because it is one of the few literature texts i've read before that is actually interesting!

Guess what, it has been made into a movie in the US! Produced by Walt Disney, it ought to be really cool!

Long long queue for the donuts....

decided on a whim to get the donuts again, after my interview @ SAL.. Guess wat~ Bumped into my pri sch friend in the queue, had a lovely chat while waiting for the shop to open.. Hee...
Met my jiemei for lunch.. Satisfying laksa @ Thai Express...
Then, went to Plaza Sing to run some errands, and bumped into my ex-colleague! hehe... Been 2 years le! Sat and chatted since it was raining anyway, and i can't get to work..

Then, took a bus home, and the deco of the bus is SO interesting! Check this out! it's for a Nokia HP.. amazing ain't it. Just imagine the amount of $$ they put into this...

And we, as consumers, aren't letting this go to waste.. Everyone that comes in, whips out their camera phone, and snaps away.. hahaha...

bad night.. an ass made the day v v v bad. My own fault. why do i let that kind of people affect me. Ugh!! Couldn't sleep early, couldn't sleep well. Late for meeting the next morning. Then luckily i remembered i forgot to bring something. Went back, then realise i forgot to lock my door!!! WTH.... I was lucky.. Thank you my two angels, for not being angry that i'm so late... Very sorry..

hee.. was reading through the NY Chronicles - and i saw an article on the engineering students who are on attachment - and my friend is in it! hee... Got a surprise when i saw it~ Gosh~ the journey is so so far!

Came across this review for this book. A friend once recommended this book to me too.. But a word of caution- if you don't like pessimistic stuff, don't read it. I think i was depressed for a few days after that.. The "hope in humanity" kinda stuff.. Compare it to the situation in Iraq now - *sigh*...

many many things today. i can't sleep without this. the therapeutic session of writing, of putting my feelings into words. Of crystalizing my thoughts, so that i can catalogue them one by one. I want, no, i need to exorcise them.

It's been a bad day. Try as i might to hide behind cheer and fun, it's a thin veneer. Putting on a front. It's tiring. The day started out ok, but too many people, too many things. Steadily downhill. Maybe i think too much, maybe i'm too sensitive. I need that chavanistic ass out of my life pronto.

Depressed, no morale. Everything seems to grate on me. I question myself, am i even doing the right thing by being here. Can i be what i wanted to be...

CNY Day 2~~

slept till 1pm.. there was nothing planned for today other than a gathering with my PH frens, and i was feeling lazy, so i asked my frens from PH to come to my house instead of meeting outside. So we settled a time at 5pm plus.

Next, a fren messages to ask if i'm going clubbing.. Then my cuz called and said they're coming over - which is great. Then another uncle called and said they are coming over too.. haha... Well, so all of a sudden, all the programs start appearing! =P

And Gigi calls to say they are arranging a mahjong session.. Oh my! such temptation!! Soon after, a small "maybe" going clubbing again... *dizzy*...

Anyway, i stuck to my program, and we had so much fun~!! We were at my place till 8plus. Andy is like the target of the day la.. haha... Everything also him! And Ben is pretty much like the golden boy especially when he play black jack w Andy.. Then we headed down to Marina Sq to play bowling w another 2 of the gang... Went to PH to disturb Durai too! Hahaha.. After seeing the way we treat him, his staff will disturb him le, this i can bet.. haha... Angie, we missed u oh!!! ^^ We shall arrange again one day..

Andy's bowling skills is really quite good, and mine is definitely the pits... haha.. Weird thing though, why is it, when the last turn for each game comes round, pple will suddenly be on form & strike one huh.. Sigh... Well, i am satisfied to say i did indeed, truly, manage a spare and a strike tonight! heehee....

Supper again! ah... super gain weight le la.... haha...

Next stop! Grand aunt's place in the west.. We were bored, so we entertained ourselves w photos of our littlest nephew by waking him up... hee...

At the next stop, my cousins came up with the idea of going to watch a movie. We were spilt between two choices - so in the end, some went for "Ghost Rider", while the majority of us went for "Seducing Mr. Perfect" It's such a great show!! Notwithstanding the pretty gal and handsome guy (absolutely to die for bod! manly chiselled features!!), the storyline, though fairytale like to a certain extent, is lovely and is real enough for me! hee.. Korean love comedy - Yay!!!


We had such fun tonight! After much logistics arrangement, all was settled.. This is the first time we cousins went for a movie together!! And out together so late... hehehe... Definitely need some photos to commemorate this!! =D

Lucky got WK & Suli to help with some of the nail color painting - imagine if i have to do all.. haha.. i'll never be done~! ^^ Then my uncle was saying aren't we "high" cooped up in the room doing this - cos he likens the fumes to glue sniffing~!! Oh man... Ok, i for one - do not know how glue sniffing smells like! hehehehe.... Then we did the nail art for our littlest cousin - and this morning, my aunt was telling me that little Gilda was so upset last night when she realised that the nail art isn't going to stay on for a long long time... Ok, probably it wasn't such a bright idea to do it for her - but she wanted it herself - she already asked her daddy before she came to us... =)

Well, anyway, my sis & I waited till we were home before doin our own, cos it was simply impossible to do a good one there... Messed around w it till 3am plus... hehe.. But it's ok, i'm satisfied w mine~ it's the silver one... =D

Today's topic was on product liability of manufacturers from faulty products. So, manufacturers are liable for two kinds of liability - either a fault in the design of the product or container of product; and negligence in the production process...

For the design fault in the container of product - a case law was quoted, facts as such:

Shopping today w MR.. Hmm.. very long never meet him le~ Went to Ichiban Sushi @ TPY for lunch.. The deco is really interesting, and they have this few tables which is really nice, though it's very near the kitchen area.. Hmm.. Ok, I dun want to be negative, but the food at Ichiban sushi really is not quite there ba.. That's all i'll say.. :0

And so nice of him to acc me when it's all things he's not interested in.. Aim today was to buy decoration stuff for CNY, and he also helped me to choose the good ones.. =P Then, back to the new AMK hub to check out the new shops - and i bought my CNY shoes le!!! Yay!! Thank you MR, for accompanying me to shop - otherwise i might not have gotten my pretty shoes! ^^

I've just received the most generous and expensive gift of my 20 odd years of life.

A brand new Nokia 6288 - with a 2mgpixel camera... Ok, i am in heaven... ^^ I promised not to say who he is, but he is honestly, the best fren a gal can have... Hmmm.. A nice, decent guy who is generous to his friends, and genuinely cares - any takers, ladies? Only those interested in a serious relationship need apply.. =) I'll gladly intro~!

Back to raving about the phone... haha.. Ok, i'm going to be a bit preoccupied these few days with exploring the full capabilities of this phone.. hahaha... Everyone's gotta take a photo~ test drive my new hp camera! It's like my dream come true -*note, a new phone was an item on my wish list... =D

Spotted this in the fridge @ home yesterday... ~Royce Chocolates - Apple Liquer~ Reminded me of once, when my fren & I finished one box of dark Royce all by ourselves~!!! Hmmm... sinful~ =P

Ok, i am chatting w Jeff, and i over our conversation, i happened to remember another example of how that weird guy in by BLaw class is stubborn... Here goes...

1st lesson, we were on fraud & anti-corruption laws. Then he give a scenario, die die want to say it can be defended, tt's it not corruption.
The scenario is very bad la - e.g. U are working in a big Co., and u invite ur big client over to SG for meeting (not a conference w other parties, only u 2..): pay for airfare, lodgings, and even - a card for his 'expenses'.
It's like almost impossible to defend la, it's like weird wat... And he stubBorn lo - argue for like 20 min with the teacher, with us... @@

FInally slept full 8 hours last night.. hee.. so happy - to be able to sleep enough without guilt, or at least, immediate guilt.... =P

Wed's class is my bizlaw class, and like every tutorial or seminar, class participation is 10% of our grades... Then this guy in our class that's fast becoming the bane of everyone, cos he's always, and i mean ALWAYS commenting or asking Qs... That would be good, wouldn't it - after all, everyone learns and class would be interesting, won't it.... But - starting from his weird & stubborn Qs, to gradually, 'comment for the sake of commenting' comments - he seriously irritates a lot of pple.. Yea, i'm honestly saying, ya, i'm one of those irritated ones... Cos there are questions, that are simply WRONG~!!

Like take today, we were on the topic of title of the goods, when does it pass, and who has the right to title of goods.. So things go like this: by common law, a concept termed as Nemo Dat, you can only sell what you have... E.g. if u stole the item (which was given as an example by the prof..) you do not have the legal title to the item, thus, even if an innocent guy bought it from u, he still doesn't have the right to the item. & like any law, there are exceptions which our prof was going thru w us... Then he asks at one point: what if u stole the item, and an innocent guy bought it from u - would he have the title to the item?!?!?

We're like - DUH~! Weren't u listening???? But being nice polite (or lazy, depending how u look at it~) Singaporeans, we let the prof explain it to him again.. But all i can say is he doesn't get it... *rolls eyes*....

This is not class participation - this is class irritation......

Busy busy tired tired day...

Went to work today, and i really realised that my bosses think that all of us can multi-task. I just got dumped a load of admin stuff that has been back-logged since October at least.. I am stressed.... And somemore, the dtr which was supposed to be passed to the new admin lady has been dumped back on me for this two weeks, cos they 'stole' her back to counter duties again. WTH.......
I have a load of presentations coming up, and i've not prepared them yet...
No sleep today le..... =(

Celebrations galore!

It was my cousin's baby boy's one month celebration yesterday - Hee.. Sounds familar? well, that was a baby girl 2 weeks ago.. So, same, became the cameralady.. Decoration of the function hall, setting up.. What was better this time was that more of our cousins came early this time, and we had more hands to help (and more lungs to blow up the balloons!!)... But the 'casualty rate' for the balloons were really high - cos the breeze was really strong, which caused a lot of abrasion, or so we figured.. =P

Anyway, what was even more interesting was that my cousin prepared (or rather, dragged my sis and me to help prepare) an art corner for the kids.. We had face painting & stained glass art.. Hee.. I did one too.. A cute little turtle! hehe...

Good day Bad day...

Had dinner at my sister's place yesterday night, and she cooked this yummy, and super healthy pasta... Heh, why i say super healthy - cos there's more vege than meat - Wa.. for a carnivore like me.. I literally told my sis i'm gonna help her clear all the meat. Luckily Mark has eaten, or he might go hungry.. hehe... Lucky he likes lots of vege! & i got yummy yummy dark chocolate gelato & sangria for dessert !! hehe...

Played chess after that - oh gosh.. i'm never gonna do this again - haven't played chess for like 10 years... kena trashed totally.. haha... Anyway, what tempted me into playing was this chess set. Nice~? ^^

Underestimated the time, so had to call for 'help' - to get transport back to hall - luckily my fren was free, otherwise, i think i would be broke taking cab back and forth.. haha.. Gosh, it's almost as bad as taking cab back to home lo... Scary..

Anyway, as a result of that, slept v late yesterday, and was pretty stone today in class.. But today was a pretty good day in that the tutor either did not spot me when i was stoning, or he did not choose to comment.. Either way, i did try to stay awake and participate... =)

Lunch with group mates @ the Quad, and amazingly all of us took baked fish.. Hee... Well, maybe this is wat u call 'great minds think alike'!!

Well - after tut, i went to the LWN Lib to get this article for my consumer law class tml - and that's when my luck started to run out...

First, i had to wait for ages for the librarian to be free so that he can log in to the LawNet so that i can find the article.. Then i saved it into my thumbdrive so that i can read at my own leisure without printing it out (50 pages lor! My goodness.. and that com, for some reason, cannot print 2 pages to one sheet~!!) cos it's like super expensive.. So i logged out of that com and went back to the usual computers. Guess what - my thumbdrive died on me. Right there, right then - i dunno to cry or to bang my head against the wall.. So had to go thru the entire hassle of booking a com again to get the article again.. sigh.. Lucky i have a backup thumbdrive with me...

Bye bye, my little cruzer mini... My first thumbdrive - my 21st birthday present from my eldest sister... Sigh... You've served me faithfully for many yrs le...

Went to watch a play tonight... Produced by Action Theatre, it's called Everything But the Brain. Check it out here... I really really recommend this.

I really like this play.. It's so touching, and so true. I don't know how else to describe it other than superb! It's not expensive, especially for students.. It goes on till this Sunday.. Do make the time for it!!!

Went for supper at the HK Cafe @ MS after that with Wen, Edward & Ed.. hee... Had so much fun & laughter... ^^ Finally had my lychee tea!! hehe.. Nice!!

woke up early this morning to go over to my cousin's place - her babe's 'man yue' celebration today & i'd promised to help w the decorations.. Well, had lots of fun - chatting with my cousins, taking photos of everyone and everything, the great food.. Hey, for once, i tried a caterer who's food is good! hee.. Recommendation after trial: Neo Garden Restaurant... The food's fresh, well presented, lot's of variety, and they really have enough for what you ordered for.. hee... Oh, and their chocolate eclair is delicious!!! Yumm.....

Semi-finals results ceremony yesterday.. Well, didn't get in - was expected, and experiencing both feelings, though in very different proportions.. A little sad cos didn't get it; and hugely, relief cos didn't get in.... hehe.. Otherwise, can just imagine how bad the schedule's gonna be.. hee... Took a few photos, and really looking forward to getting them.. yippee!! Oh man, there were like 20 Lamborghinis parked outside MOS yesterday night... Argh.. Wonder which super-rich fella having a party...... *drooling* - at the cars la!

Went to Barfly for a drink with Jean and Clement after that. The lychee martini is good.. hee.. Realised we three have very different tastes - i like sweet (for sure!!), Jean's is strong (more masculine), and Clem's is more on the experimental kind... The people there are really friendly! The bartender who attended to us is H, and he's very interesting, and told us some trivia about the origins of Barfly..hee..

Supper after that near mohammad sultan.. we were really full, and Jean & I decided to give the distance to Orchard a shot.. We walked. haha.... Love the time we spend together.. Jean is a great friend to me, and she is one of those i know i can count on. To accept me, to understand me, to comfort me... without criticisms, without judgement... I need her level-headedness to keep me grounded.. Gal, u are great!!!

Thumper after that with my other frens.. Had lots of fun, but a lot less dancing yesterday, cos it was last minute, and i forgot to see if Gigi is coming.. sobz.. no other gals, and i can't dance w guys, not the way i wanna dance anyway.. Personal rule... hahaha... Home around 4plus.. Zzzz...

heard the funniest thing during my 214 lecture, which made me think of a funny thing...

We had this lecture the week before, and the lecturer brought out the California Cheese as an example, which basically promotes that their cows are happy, thus the cheese made from their milk is good...

Which leads me to think - people always say, "God is good". Does this mean, so is man, who is made by God?? 'Fraid not, isn't it... haha...

Hee... I'm quite irreverent, i 'm afraid.. No offence to those concerned.. =)

slept at 4 am last night - woke up at 7.30 for lecture.. from 8.30 till 12.30. The lecturer nearly drove us mad with his pace... so slow!! argh.... Then proj meeting straight after lunch - man, i'm dead beat.. then in order to be able to chit chat w my dearie with a clear conscience tml - i decided to come in to work for a bit.. Ah... half dead le... Finished tallies for 3 days, left 3 more days tml.. hee.. Going to go meet MJ to pick up the textbooks now.. @@ I am so dead.........
