Last Sunday, i watched this TV program that's on Chef Sam Leong which had been broadcasted previously. At one point, it was really funny.. It was in the middle of a banquet, and his item was to go out with another chef's item together. When his fried prawn was ready, the other party's fish wasn't. It was really a big headache as the texture of the prawn goes downhill very quickly. He decided to fry a new batch, but it has to time exactly with the fish. And he says to the other chef, "It's Ok, take your time. I give you three minutes." Hee... such a paradox.. But seriously, this just goes to show how important timing and cooperation is in operations. =)

Hmmm… outside the Court today is a hive of activity, with people queuing up even – Why? No, no freebies – it’s the judgement of the One-Eyed Dragon case……. -_-"

So.. of course, being in an office job, the most important timing other than the time to go home, is lunchtime. Lunch is 'connection' time, with colleagues & friends...

Finally, an update on my week...

It's been a week at SAL - and i'm really happy to be working here.. My direct sup is a very nice gal - she treats me like a subordinate, not an intern, if u know what i mean.. They include me in meetings and even the informal ones too. Clear instructions, patient guidance & friendly conversation. =D She's great!!!

The workload here essentially requires ownership. I have a project of my own during my stay in this department to work on, and another two reports for the department head as well. I believe it's going to take some personal time to do it, so - don't be surprised if on a weekend, i say i'm home.. hee...

The colleagues are really friendly too - got to know this group of temp staff who all work in different departments. We're thinking of having a weekly lunch together~ ^^ I hope it happens, cos they're really fun to talk to. Pity 2 of them are ending in June le.. Hope she chooses NTU.. haha...

On the down side, i have yet to touch a word of the e-log.. -_-" No energy honestly.. Trying to get used to the hours & having to wake up 6am again. By the time u end work, u've been awake for 12 hours... zzz... I even forgot to call my NTU supervisor, which was supposed to have been done last week! Called and emailed her today.. =P And my supervisor is Dr. Cindy Chung! @_@

But my sup is really decent about working hours. Like today, i was trying to rush out something she wanted, so i was prepared to stay late already. Then at 7pm, she realised i was still around, and she shoo-ed me home.. ^^ Deadline extended till tml~! yay!!!

I like my working environment.. It may look 'cold' to a certain extent - but the modern design incorporates the space into the design. Very spacious, and bright. Of course, it being what it is - very peaceful too.. The journey from the entrance up to my office every morning relaxes me...

It’s a small scale but important event today @ SAL.. Busy busy.. Lucky this first one I’m participating in is the ‘baby’ of another senior and not my sup. Otherwise I’ll be scared stiff.. As it is, I’m nervous enough even with a small role. -_- Cannot sleep well the whole night. Feel like never sleep at all.. Argh………

So happy, I have an exciting job.. haha.. applying some things I learnt in my days in TP here too.. They are planning a staff trip overseas, so helping to search for info & such – tourism!! Haha…. And I can surf openly! Hahahaa….

Yesterday was another fun day - went to ECP again with Jean, Kai, Cath, Clement, Grace & Yunhua...

Okay people... I know you care about me - but REALLY, I have no raging need to get attached immediately after the year I gave myself is up. Please don't try to matchmake me... I don't mind making friends, if u are reading this blog, in the first place u should know what I am like. BUT, I really can't stand people trying to matchmake me. Ugh!!!!

At the very least, don't be so bloody blatant about it, and choose someone at least that can TALK (!!!) for heaven's sake. Not sit there and keep mum while the other two people entertain YOU! I am not a bloody entertainer. I have no interest in a wall-grass. Gals as wallflower is acceptable, not wall-grass... -_-"

Can u imagine this fella.. i nearly vomit blood. This friend was really trying to be nice to me by introducing his fren whom he tot highly of. So guess what, the whole night it's the two of us talking only. Then at one point even he must take a break, so he went to the gents. *Silence descends*....... So i tried to talk to that fella. The conversation went like this..

Me: So, where do you stay?

Him: Sin Ming...

Me: Oh?

Him: *silence*

Ugh@!!!!!

Never mind leh, got more... unfortunately he takes his bus home near my place, so my fren detailed him to walk me back. So i try again...

Him: Sin Ming Road.

All right.. today's the end of my stay in hall 2... Returned the keys, and everything is cleared out le.

Happy to get it all done, but actually a bit sad to leave hall 2 too... It is actually the one which i stayed for the longest, a full academic year. Hall 11, Hall 7.. =O I'm a bit worried about how i'll do next year when i am so used to staying in hall le. Well, saving up, just gotta try to adjust back to home life!!! I wanna go to a faraway place....... *wistful*.....

Went to blade @ ECP today - had so much fun!!! man, i need to get in shape.. haha... Looking forward to Thursday.... ^^

Another happening day today.. Ran myself a little ragged, truth be told... haha.. lao le, bu xing le.. haha....

Went to school to settle the photoshoot in the morning & met Cynthia for shopping!! We walked the whole of AMK Hub. AND~ i bought a beautiful dress!!! Yippee.... ooo... I so want this shoe from Mondo!! It's so cute!!! I love the purple one... *drools...*

Met Janice & Peifen to go clubbing~ First clubbing in the longest time.. haha.. Danced till my feet were sore like mad! haha.. Whole night long, non-stop dancing.. Yea, i feel great!!! ^^ Destress le.. (now if only the idiotic guys will just leave us alone... Ugh..... wat to do - that's what happens when u go out with pretty friends - hor, Janice!! hee....)

And i slept 11 hours today! hahahahaa...

Met up with Yuan, Charles & Geraldine... We went to the Pasir Ris Park.. Well, just to do something different ba, hee.. The couple fished mostly la, me & Yuan just walked around all over the park & chat & laugh lo.. (Glad to find out that i can still run faster than her.. hahaha...) I caught one of those prawns eh!! I actually just happened to helping to hold the rod honestly, and the prawn came biting on its own.. =D

Met Wen & Yuan for dinner.. It's been so long since we had a chance to catch up with each other together, we've had such different schedules.. Ahh.. the funny stories that come from Wen are utterly amazing.. hee.. Makes a gal want to enter the world of gays & see for herself.. ~o^
